Welcome to Reitergeist of Middle Tennessee, a USDF affiliated Region 3 General Membership Organization [GMO]. Our purpose is to provide an educational, as well as social, opportunity for like-minded individuals to come together to follow and preserve The System of training dressage horses advocated by Oberbereiter Karl Mikolka, formerly of the Spanish Riding School, Vienna, while continuing to support the broader purposes of the USDF as America’s organizational body for dressage work and competition.

USDF - United States Dressage Federation

The United States Dressage Federation is the only national membership organization dedicated to dressage, a method of horse training in existence since ancient Greece and an Olympic sport since the inception of the modern Olympics in the late 1800’s.

USEF - United States Equestrian Federation

As the National Governing Body (NGB) of Equestrian Sport in the United States we will inspire, encourage interest in, and regulate equestrian competition by ensuring the safety and well-being of horses, regardless of value or competitive level; ensure the enforcement of fair and equitable rules and procedures up to and including the preparation for the Olympic Games; and, endeavor to advance the level of horsemanship in the United States.
